Subaru WRX Maintenance Schedule

2023 Subaru WRX

The Subaru WRX sports car brings serious performance chops to the Town ‘n’ Country roads, but even the most powerful sports cars can use some TLC from time to time. The Subaru WRX maintenance schedule lists all the necessary inspections and replacement tasks at key intervals, so you never have to worry about when to make your next appointment. The team at Subaru of South Tampa is here to go over the timing of every oil change and tire rotation, so let’s get started!

Subaru WRX Maintenance Intervals

From the first Subaru WRX maintenance check 1 at 3,000 miles to the 90,000-mile inspection a few years in, just a little maintenance can certainly make a huge difference in your driving experience. And at Subaru of South Tampa, we make every visit count. Go through the basic Subaru WRX maintenance schedule below, and be sure to contact us with any questions along the way!

Check 1 at 3,000 Miles

Your schedule starts with the first Subaru WRX maintenance check 1 at 3,000 miles, which is around three months for most St. Petersburg drivers. This routine maintenance visit includes basic tasks like:

  • Engine oil change
  • Oil filter replaced
  • Check all fluids
  • Check tire pressure and tread wear

Check 2 Every 7,500 Miles

Next, you’ll visit the service center for your Subaru WRX maintenance check 2 at 7,500 miles. This usually occurs after seven to eight months for most Wesley Chapel drivers. This visit will include the same tasks as check 1, along with a few extra inspections:

  • Oil change
  • Tire rotation
  • Inspecting the rear and parking brakes and adjusting them if necessary
  • Testing the battery and charging system
  • Inspecting the lights, hoses, and belts
  • Checking major fluids like transmission fluid, coolant, and windshield washer fluid

Every 15,000 Miles

After your Subaru WRX maintenance check 2 at 7,500 miles, you’ll typically visit the service center every 7,500 miles or once per year. That means the next visit will occur around the 15,000-mile marker, which includes tasks like:

  • Emissions tune-up
  • Cabin air filter replacement
  • Inspecting the brake lines, brake discs, and pads
  • Examine the clutch, axle boots, and axle shaft
  • Look over the steering and suspension

Every 30,000 Miles

Finally, your 30,000-mile check will occur around 30 months from your purchase date. You’ll repeat basic maintenance services like oil changes and tire rotations, while also receiving the following services:

  • Replacing the brake fluid, air filters, spark plugs, PVC valve, and engine coolant
  • Inspecting the brake lines, parking brake, axle boots and shaft, clutch, steering, suspension, fuel lines, and drive belt
  • Checking essential auto fluids including the automatic transmission fluid, front and rear differential oil and gear oil, and engine coolant

From this point on, you’ll simply repeat the previous service tasks. You’ll repeat the 15,000-mile services at 45,000 miles and the 30,000-mile services at 60,000 miles. And if you have any questions at all, our service technicians would be happy to help!
