Who is Subaru South Tampa?

Subaru South Tampa was started in the 70s by a mechanic, Peter Mastro Sr. Originally, the business was called Mastro and was primarily a service and repair center with an emphasis on air-cooled Volkswagen models. Then, during the gas shortage in the late 70s, efficient Japanese imports boomed and Subaru reach out to Pete Sr. to start the first Subaru dealership in Florida. After decades as a no-nonsense, family-run business, Subaru North Orlando was opened in 2007 in Sanford, FL. In 2020, the dealership was purchased by Myers Auto Group, but the vibe and the ethos remain the same.
